The dining room is on the second floor over the wine tasting rooms. A wide and light entrance foyer is shared by the restaurant and the wine cellar. A graceful staircase leads up to the restaurant which has two dining rooms flanking the reception. One is decorated in warm earth tones of peach and pink, the other in soft, washed out greens and whites. They both are surrounded by large windows bathing the rooms with light.
The service is fine and efficient if not overly attentive. You are likely to see growers and buyers happily munching away, one group identified by weathered faces and blue jeans the other by business suites and pallid complexions. All enjoying their vocation.

The berries were is season and this dish of fresh strawberries, apples, bananas and an Orange Sorbet simply in a sauce of their own juices was delectable.

Our meal started without delay with some pleasant amuse bouches. This was followed with a salad of filet of chicken breasts with sliced hearts of artichokes and chopped green onions. Linda enjoyed a generous dish of lamb done just right with an "open face" lasagna of fresh market vegetables served in a sauce just of its own juices. It was a pleasure to be spared yet another rich deglazed sauce filled with butter. I enjoyed a light sole in a saffron sauce on a bed of mussels and clams with green onions. We finished with an excellent and refreshing fruit salad of strawberries, fresh apples, bananas and a scoop of orange sorbet.
The Restaurant e Bacchus Gourmand is easy to find as is its Maison des Vins "Côtes de Provence". Take the Draguignan/St.Tropez sortie (off ramp) on the Autoroute A-8 E-80 (the east/west freeway) . Take the direction north to Draguignan just a short way. On the far side of the bridge that spans the N7, take the immediate left that puts you on the N7 west. You will drive a few miles. You pass the turning to Les Arcs and continue on until you see the sign for the Maison du Vin, a complex of two large yellow stuccoed buildings. The Maison des Vins "Côtes de Provence" is the second building on the far side of the fountain and pool.
