RESTAURANTS - CHEFS - HOTELS - REVIEWS & STORIES
Just twenty five minutes from Monte Carlo and the gate-way to the Italian Riviera, a stay at this charmer is to experience a more refined and gracious way of life combining the elegance of the past with the comforts and plugged in way of life of today.
Spacious lounges, extensive outdoor terraces, a gazebo, and just down from these terraces and gardens is the huge pool with hot tub, water falls, a pool bar and snack bar and endless space to pull up a deck chair and umbrella to soak up the sun with a view out over the sea if you wish.
This lovely and elegant old structure has played host to Royalty celebrities for over 100 years. The gardens overflow with fragrant and lush flowers, befitting the sun drenched Italian coast. The hotel is quietly luxurious and its 126 rooms and suites are tastefully furnished and well equipped, some in a more traditional style and others in a more modern motif. All the bathrooms have been recently renovated to today's luxury standards and many of the rooms and suites have their own private terraces offering views out over the Mediterranean as well as plenty of room to soak up the sun. Most rooms face south overlooking the sea.
Arriving from a late lunch, the hotel's restaurant "Fiori di Murano" was simply wonderful with a menu filled with the tastes of Liguria.
There is a full spa "Wellness Center" and even a children's play room filled with toys. Down town is within walking distance. There is a lovely wide circular stair case ascending to all floors but there are also two elevators to make the trip to and from your room faster.
A great destination for a vacation or just to get away for a week end and enjoy the marvelous and special tastes of Liguria and the Italian Riviera in comfort.
